Viral Marketing
If you are looking for long term,
assured quality traffic to your website, viral marketing
is not the way to go about it.
Viral Marketing is a term we hear frequently of
late. There are many folks on the internet trying to come up with the
next marketing "wave". The viral marketing concept is the idea of you
getting enough people (website visitors) to pass along your website
address product name, service name,or product such as an ebook, to
others. Then getting them to do the same thing. Kind of like a
pyramid. This can then spread dramatically creating a huge wave of your
information being passed along, often for free.
If you do this to a "market" that isn't
interested, or the conversion rate is poor (conversion rate is how many
"hits" to your website turn into a sale), then the viral idea will die
out quickly.
Viral Marketing requires essentially zero effort
on your part once it is started, to increase the amount of prospects
that see your ad, website, products, and also generates many leads. The
only thing you need to do if the viral marketing campaign works, is to
start it again butonly in a bigger initial start, so it grows quicker
and faster.
Passing along a message is a simple way to
describe viral marketing. It is very similar to word of mouth
advertising, but in the online world, it often is via e-mail.
You may want to learn or explore other marketing
techniques that build traffic. In this case it is not as quick as viral
marketing, but it is more long term and will keep your website in great
traffic standards for the long haul. Viral marketing works but you need
a more sure thing.
